No one who hasn't been through it can truly understand the feelings and emotions a person newly diagnosed with a spinal cord injury (SCI) is experiencing. Anger, confusion, sadness, shock and frustration are just a few. Coupled with those feelings are the challenges of coping with a new physical condition and the new routines of care needed on a daily, sometimes hourly, basis.
The late David S. Loeb, Jr. knew what it meant to live with a spinal cord injury. For more than 60 years, he proved that a spinal cord injury did not mean a life of limitations, but rather the beginning of a newly adapted life where all things are possible.
David, and his wife, Barbara, commissioned a series of educational videos for people with spinal cord injuries. The "Living with a Spinal Cord Injury" video series features individuals with SCI and caregivers who face and rise above the daily challenges of living with a spinal cord injury. This Telly Award winning series was inspired by MossRehab patients and staff and produced by Imageworks Film & Video, Inc.
