The day hospital program is a system of care in which a patient receives rehabilitation during the day and returns home in the afternoon. Participating patients include those who have had a stroke, aneurysm of the brain, or other non-traumatic head injuries such an aneurysm clipping, brain tumor or anoxia.
Unique features of this program include:
- Patients attend therapy five days per week for an average of three hours per day, based on clinical need and insurance guidelines.
- Daily transportation services are available to patients to and from rehab.
- Daily physician services and nursing assessments are provided to patients.
